Why isn't my ad up yet?

Your ad (profile) is approved before becoming visible to others. Under normal conditions this takes up to a maximum of 10 minutes but is usually less than 5 minutes. We have an administrative team employed to look after the approvals 24x7.

This is a free world, and to be realistic I have no means by which to "make" people respond to ads or to mails sent in response to an ad. People have thousands of reasons why they may not respond.

Men please be aware - couples and ladies who advertise for men get so many responses it is impossible for them to respond to all of them - To try and understand the problem I have been talking to a few of the new advertisers. They have told me that the response rate has been in excess of 500 emails a week. This means that to read the responses alone takes a very long time. If it takes one minute to read each mail, it takes more than eight hours to read 500 mails, and replying to them, even at 30 seconds a mail takes more than four hours. Emails with pictures slow the process down, especially when you send them at high resolution (greater than 96dpi) and/or where the image is very large - greater than a maximum of 600x400 (this is plenty large enough to let people see you - greater resolution and size is only needed when you want to print a picture).

Don't respond to ads where you do not fit the criteria of the advertiser. You are wasting their time, your time, and clogging up the mail system with hundreds of pointless emails.

Yes. I cannot force people to reply, but your mail has reached them, and if they have tried to respond their mail will be in one of your in boxes inside your profile. You can check if the recipient has read the mail by checking your sex with strangers mailbox. Click on mail, then click on sent mails. If the mail you send has the word "new" in red, the person you have sent the mail to has not yet read it. If does not have anything then they have opened it.

Remember that if the word new is still there after a few days, you may well have ended up in their non-matched bin.

Can you tell me where to find:
